Magic is the art of changing consciousness at will
Conceptualize. If you were to call the specific, current monologue that exists in your head, about how you talk about your life experience so far, your ‘Story’. Then Story Magic would be the ability to perceive your story from a new or different perspective. Giving you the opportunity to change the glasses through which you experience your world, and your life.
what if we could trigger a mental state through the use of our bodies
We often wait for a major mind shift, or an external trigger to beam us out of our reality, and force us to approach the tone of voices in our head in a new way. Whether it be an intense decision that we have to make, an event that pushes us to our limits, or a conscious deliberate desire to change, accompanied by action.
But what if we could trigger a mental state through the use of our bodies. Through learning to better understand the signals, and wisdom, that are being communicated to us, each and every day. And what if we could shift our mental state, our consciousness, through our bodies. It’s kind of like switching directions on the more travelled road of psychosomatic research – instead of our moods and mental state having an impact on our physical health, that movement, dance, breathe and touch, can create the conditions to change the state of mind, and being in our body. Rippling over into our perception of time, and our story.
“Magic is the art of changing consciousness at will”. A quote by a pagan priest, that I came across while listening to an episode The Embodied Way. A podcast I love listening to whenever I can as, the host, Stefana Serafina‘s mission is to start conversations about the body’s intelligence, and how we tune into our senses.
On the need- and the luxury!- of attuning our bodies’ ecosystems to the wakeful intelligence of our natural world and romancing our inner and outer nature as a way of self-knowing
The particular episode that I want to share with you today is an interview she has with Jamie McHugh on the importance of attuning to the relationship we have with our bodies, and how to take a first step towards exploring it. Have a listen. Enjoy and let me know what your thoughts are in the comments below.
