We live in a time full of choices, which can be a great thing, but can also add some stress and distraction to life.
Perhaps while feeling hungry for ways to de-stress your life and feel more like yourself, you downloaded the Into your depths meditation, and it's ended up in a pile of other downloaded e-books, meditations, practices, e-courses all supposed to help you feel less overwhelmed and more like yourself.
And that pile doesn't actually help you get started on actually doing the practices, learning, or integrating very much into your actual life. It's just another thing you 'have to do', which never feels nice and isn't the point. Am I right? We've all been there. OK, maybe not all, but a whole lot of us.
Enter..... the true art of making time for yourself.
Self-care is an art, and it takes practice and persistence to create the space for it. And it's not impossible. You've probably learned to put most other things ahead of yourself on the list of to-dos.
So today, I invite you to put you on top of the priority list. It'll take max. 4 mins, and it will make all the difference. Just like you plan in dates and commitments with others, plan a date for you. Do it now, before this email gets added to that pile. Yep, add yourself to your own radar this very moment.
1. Open your calendar and choose a 60 mins space in your schedule in the coming 7 days. A moment where you won't be disturbed. Add this link to this email into your calendar.
2. If you need to organize a babysitter, or make sure your partner is home for the kids, or make any other accommodations for this hour. Send your texts / emails now.
3. The meditation I shared is only 21 mins, so start dreaming of how you want to fill the rest of your hour. Dreaming is such an important part of creating space for yourself, allowing your creative juices to flow. And it should become priority that they flow. You don't have to commit to anything right now. Just dream.
Potential Ideas: walking in nature, take a bubble bath with candles, take a power nap, make your favourite tea and relax into your body, give yourself a foot massage, give yourself a slow massage to appreciate your body - you can make it sensual, spiritual, soulful, ... the choices are endless.
4. Honour the time you've made in your calendar. Take a few deep breaths for yourself and feel the sensations of knowing that you have created a moment just for you. Where does it live in your body? What does it feel like? That's it. Now when the time comes, click here and get started.
